Closing Event and Prototype Presentation: IoT/Ethereum/IOTA Summer Camp
01 Sep - 04:00 PM
Frankfurt am Main, Germany
How will the IoT world of tomorrow look like? We cordially invite you to participate in the closing event of our “IoT // Ethereum // IOTA Summer Camp”, in which 14 IoT prototypes based on Ethereum and IOTA will be presented. The event will take place on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 16:00 to 19:00 with subsequent networking at Tatcraft, a maker space in Frankfurt with tooling and 3D printers - the perfect stage for this occasion.
From August 28 to September 1, 2017 the "IoT // Ethereum // IOTA Summer Camp" takes place in Frankfurt (Germany) focusing on connecting Ethereum to real IoT products. It is organized as a 5-day hackathon. We will form 14 teams consisting of IT developers and at least one business developer per team.
During the summer camp, we will provide the hardware, such as Raspberry Pi and HiKey hardware sets, sensors, actors, and physical products. Bringing these technologies together we teach the teams how to code and program them — developing Ethereum smart contracts, implementing IOTA, connecting real products and coding a frontend.
The teams will develop their prototypes in line with the following challenges:
Mobility: smart public transportation and smart freight transportation
Digital science and smart sensors
E-mobility and blockchain infrastructure for delivering electricity
More to come...
The summer camp is supported by Daimler, Commerzbank, Eciotify, IOTA, Tatcraft, Ventum and the IT magazin “Informatik Aktuell”. It is organized by the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, the Chair of Strategy and Organization at the Technische Universität München and the blockchain accelerator nexussquared.

Hack Darmstadt
09 Jun - 10:00 AM
Darmstadt, Germany
Inspired by the successful Make Zurich hackathon, Hack Darmstadt brings together the local hacker and maker community to explore new ways of solving the problems of our city. How? By using open networks, LoRaWan and civic tech – technology that enables citizens to build infrastructure for their city, instead of governments building it. All lessons learned and technologies developed during this 2-day hackathon are meant to be shared and reproduced, so that everyone can benefit from them.
Bring your laptop and your ideas on how to improve your city to our first one-day workshop on June 9th!
FYI: If you don't have a PayPal account, please contact info@hackdarmstadt.de.
Hack Darmstadt 2017 is organized by a group of organizations and volunteers who advocate the idea of enabling citizens to create digital solutions for smarter cities.
