BeHack 2017 Hackathon by QueenB and Tower of David- Opening event

QueenB is currently planning its innagural flagship event, "BeHackJLM", the first all-women hackathon in Jerusalem. QueenB program participants along with local university engineering, science, and design students will work together to develop new and innovative ideas. “BeHackJLM” will conclude with a celebration of QueenB’s first year and provide an opportunity for the participants to showcase their projects.

"BeHackJLM" will take place from June 14-16 at the Tower of David Museum. Partnership with the Tower of David Innovation Lab provides an opportunity to connect young students both to the inspiring history of Jerusalem, and to Jerusalem’s dynamic and forward-thinking innovative community.

The proportion of women in the technological fields is low, and the proportion of women who participate in hackathons is even lower. At QueenB, we believe that we can make strides in overcoming these gaps by bringing women together at the nexus of technology, culture, art, history and community.
