About the Hackathon:

In Venezuela today....

Economic catastrophe --> 1 Million % inflation projected at the end of 2018

Major Migration Crisis in The Americas --> 4 million displaced across borders

Human Rights Violations --> 340+ political prisoners

Venezuelans with mobile phones --> 30 million

We'll use mobile technology, AI, and blockchain to code projects to:

Connect the worldwide Venezuelan community

Create an accessible database and platform to connect engineers for social good to Venezuelan-based organizations and causes that would benefit from technical support and assistance

Rebuild the country virtually

We want to:

Launch a hub for solving problems in Venezuela and to attract talent to work on it

Gather engineers for social good and intellectual leaders to discuss how to use technology to solve problems
