This event is in partnership with Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) and ML @ IIT. What You’ll Do: Work as a software developer, service designer, data scientist, or business strategist with a team of 4 to 5 passionate individuals to solve a real business challenge using machine learning concepts. Teams will have access to the below tools as they crack the case:An in-depth business case outlining a real challenge a to-be-determined company in Chicago is facing. Interviews with SMEs in the relevant field.Curated quantitative data.An exclusive design thinking workshop to facilitate ideation.Personal mentorship from Accenture consultant Michael Kokot and Wavicle Data Solutions design strategist Niharika Gupta to help guide your team and offer feedback on ideasFeedback from Ernst and Young representatives.Who Should Join: This competition is geared towards individuals interested in exploring what it would be like to play a data science, designer, or business strategist role in a real business setting. Specifically, this competition is a great learning opportunity for those interested in building a new skillset to honing existing skills. The competition is built around standard work schedules so that both employed and job searching professionals can participate, as well and undergraduate and graduate students.
