This hackathon invited you to develop technological solutions for the care of refugees and integration. Get involved at the interface of technology and business for social engagement and humanitarian aid. Challenge yourself with technology for asylum seekers to develop a use-creating application together with Microsoft, the Red Cross, the City of Vienna, the Foreign Ministry, the developer community, WhatAVenture, Tieto, Netidee, pot travel and the developers of the Welcome app from Germany! This event is inviting web and mobile developers, designers and project managers who will be supported by mentors and asylum seekers to come together to brainstorm, develop, prototype and validate. You will be challenged to create either a mobile App, website and/or other technical services to solve problems for communicating with Austrians, overcoming language barriers, the orientation, both spatially and in the official processes, to the exchange of cultural aspects. Best projects will get the chance to win a User Experience Workshop of Tieto, a Device of Microsoft, Startup Packages of WhatAVenture, and Slot for the project presentation at the next Mobile Developer after-work event of
