Shield-X Launch with BHP Billiton, Barrick Gold and Caterpillar

The Shield-X Challenge is a week long hardware hackathon kicking off at this event. Participants are challenged to design and prototype a 'Safe-Stop' wearable PPE device for autonomous mining equipment, with the chance to win over $20,000 in cash and attend a technology workshop with the Shield-X partners to assess their design

Participants can submit their prototypes from anywhere around the world with space available for prototyping here in Perth at CORE.
