Swift Hackathon Bristol
Hewlett Packard Enterprise looks forward to hosting you for the next OpenStack Swift Hackathon at our site in Bristol, UK.
The OpenStack Swift mid-cycle hackathons are designed to allow the active contributors from the global community to get together for a few days and review code, design features, and work together. This event is geared towards Swift development, and will not include any introductory sessions or formal presentations - we'll design the agenda as we go based on what we want and need to cover.
Venue:

Staying longer? If you are planing to add day(s) to your trip to UK, Bristol has good transport connections to London and, closer by, the World Heritage city of Bath.

Details - train from London airports:
Bristol is served by two mainline railway stations and frequent services from London stop at one or the other (but not both) so be sure to choose your desired destination before boarding:
- Bristol Temple Meads is the nearest to the centre of the city (and most hotels).
- Bristol Parkway is the nearest station to HPE office.
Tickets can be cheaper if booked in advance for specific departure times. Thetrainline.com
By train from London Heathrow:
- Transfer from airport terminals via bus service to Reading (rhymes with "wedding") rail station for rail services to Bristol. http://www.railair.com/
- Or take Heathrow Express rail service to London Paddington terminus and then take train service to Bristol (longer, may suit if you plan to stay over in London).
By train from London Gatwick:
- You will need to take a train into London, cross London via the Tube to Paddington, and then take a train to Bristol. Not a straightforward journey.
Details - bus from London airports:
- Direct bus services operate between London airports and Bristol centre. Potentially lower cost than trains.
