Current university students in Western Australia! During Energy Week 2022, Energy Policy WA invites you to participate in the EV Challenge at the Energy Communication Hackathon. With the increase in the numbers of electric vehicles in Western Australia, there's projected to be a significant ongoing spike in demand on the power grid during the evening peak as EV drivers charge their vehicles when they get home. You'll get to collaborate with other students to come up with an innovative communication strategy and 5-min pitch to create awareness among EV owners. Gilead Hacks for HIV Prevention is a two day, in-person hackathon in Atlanta that aims to develop solutions to increase usage of HIV PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) medications among appropriate Black individuals and Latinx men-who-have-sex-with-men (MSM). This hackathon will provide an opportunity for people with technical backgrounds to collaborate and compete to create leading technology solutions – and to transform the HIV prevention landscape. Join us June 4-5 at Loudermilk Conference Center in downtown Atlanta to compete for part of the $30k prize pool, including a $15k top award. The best solutions could also be developed by Gilead into real-world applications to help people across the country.
