It’s the hackathon you have been waiting for!Get involved in this #VizforSocialGood project to help Justice and Peace Netherlands. We need story-tellers, graphic designers and analytically-oriented people. This is a great opportunity to share your passion, learn a new tool (Tableau) and network. We welcome beginners and experts alike. We will meet on 28th of August at the Data School. Data will be provided on the on the day. Feel free to bring friends, colleagues and other enthusiasts.

This event is an unparalleled opportunity to work closely with lawyers, entrepreneurs, technology professionals, management consultants and others from industry to practice creative problem solving, learn about the business and practice of law, and hone your pitching skills. The event will take place on the weekend of the 9-11 August 2019.

It’s a 4-week online hackathon for individuals or teams to use their tech skills to build and launch projects intended to help with the climate emergency. Did we mention there are prizes valued at more than $10K? Hack Cincinnati is the largest high school hackathon in the Midwest. Last year, we ran CincyHacks, Cincinnati’s largest high school hackathon. CincyHacks was a massive success — we had over 80 students present 23 different ideas. This year, we’re kicking it up a notch: we’re bringing in leaders from Hack Camp, Hack Chicago, McDonogh Hacks, and CodeDay to run an event for 300 high school programmers, hackers, and designers. As one of those 300 hackers, you’ll work in a team for 24 hours to create your own project — be it an app, game, or website. To help, we’ll provide free food, swag, mentorship, and workshops. At the end of the event, your team will present to a panel of judges for a chance to win some fabulous prizes. Hack Cincinnati aims to be inclusive to all skill levels. As a beginner, you could attend one of the workshops designed to jump-start your project. If you’re a veteran hacker, we’ll provide personalized mentorship to help refine your skills. We also have numerous non-coding events planned to give your mind (and fingers!) a much-needed break.

Join us for the JOLLOF WARS DC this July 7th 2019 at DC most iconic venue: The Loft at I/O SPACES, a four floor penthouse space. Where African Chefs will go knife to knife in an effort to win the 2019 title of who makes the best Jollof and go home with a $1000 cash prize. During the Jollof WARS, you will also get to savour different flavors of jollof from West African. Additionally, we will be giving a portion of our proceeds to support the Shepherd’s Table Bright Meal program, a Maryland Based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which has provided meals and housing to homeless neighbors in need for the last 35 years. Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology (VESIT) in partnership with LeadingIndia.AI ( a nation wide initiative on "AI and deep learning Skilling and Research" under Bennett University) is organizing a 24 hour nation wide hackathon to provide a platform for technical talents of the country to come and dedicate themselves for developing innovative solutions to the problems faced by kids, senior citizens, and differently abled.
