COVID-19 Equalithon - remote hack for challenges of Nonprofits on the field
  28 Mar - 09:00 AM
  Online
  Shoutouts & monetary.
We are all severely hit by the Coronavirus. These are times when a sense of community and greater good should help. At a nationwide and international scale, governments and structures in place are beginning to set up emergency measures. But at a local scale, Essteem hopes that our community can help tackle the many challenges that those are the most affected are beginning to face: people over 60 in need of care, medical community and sick people in need of support, kids who need education, parent-work life balance, people feeling lonely or anxious, and homeless people. These are the 5 Challenge Themes that we want to address in this Equalithon. To ensure the deployment, propagation and use of the winning Solutions, we will rely on this community of women, non-binary and allies; moms, dads, and singles; friends, colleagues, and connections; to spread the word to anyone potentially interested in developing, deploying and using the apps! If you cannot afford the engagement required by an Equalithon (a week of coding), there will be a series of “hacknights” that could be of interest. NOTE: this event is not only for women in tech, but organized by women in tech. Allies and Non-binaries, more than welcome! We thank you in advance for your participation and support.
